I’m excited and nervous in the best possible way. A while ago God put this idea in my heart; to know me is to know I love writing and I love Jesus so writing about life with Jesus is the best possible thing for me; so, after putting it off out of fear of failure in the guise of ‘being busy with med school’ (LOL), I’ve finally decided to start.
This post is to tell you a little about The Trying Christian.
I’m far from a preacher and even farther from perfect. I’m just a girl whose life God took from the clutches of SIN and self-gratification and made new. You guys saw how I capitalised sin right?! So, if you’re expecting condemnation and judgement, you won’t get them here. However, we go still talk true oh, sin is still sin (1 John 3:6).

I chose the name because it describes where I’m at currently, trying to be the best Christian that I can be, failing and succeeding on different days but trying each day all the same.
God chased after me, when I didn’t feel worth pursuing, he didn’t let me be, and he’s chasing after you too. TTC is about me telling you about what I’ve learnt from my bumpy faith journey and the things I’m still learning.
Most of the guest writers and contributors would similarly be sharing their experiences with you; some will be preaching as they are actual preachers.
Starting this took a lot of courage. The sabotage didn’t come from others, my people were in full support, it came from my own mind. It really is like that sometimes, no? I questioned myself a lot, I still do. Am I good enough to talk to people about Jesus? What authority do I have to tell people to avoid sin? It took a lot of praying and reading God’s word to realise that yes, I am good enough and yes, I do have authority, in fact it’s my responsibility. And yours too!
It is our responsibility to proclaim the word of God and to condemn sin.
